EYES OF HOPE

The last 2 months I have been working on support raising toward my upcoming move to Swaziland in May. I have put my hands to the plow and have prayed, sent out letters, had meetings, spoke at churches & organized events. Yet I have continued to check my account balance on a daily basis for those two months and have seen the same 1 donation of $50.51 that was given to me by my mother. This can be frustrating, overwhelming, and discouraging but I have a choice… be discouraged or LOOK TO HIM IN HOPE. A choice to trust in my father who loves me, never fails me, who has called me and who has opened this door of opportunity to serve His kingdom is working things out… despite what I can see.

When I see the picture above I see more then just a young man giving a plate of food to a child. (Although that is what the camera captured.) When I look at this picture I see more… I see the work and events that lead up to that moment… Starting with a "YES" to the Lord, 16 hour plane ride, 5am wake up call, sacrificial giving, bumpy ride in the back of a pick up, dirty hands, bugs, driving through a river, burning sun, 10 hour day, 2 crunch bars, and much much more.

That's how God works… He is working things out even when we can't actually see them through the camera lens. He is using people like you and I to fulfill His plans. People who will say "YES" to being His Heart of compassion & love, Saying "YES" to being His Hands in action & labor.
